On the road to Oregon

Tuesday, June 10

Today again started out early as we headed out of town toward the Grand Canyon national park.

As we arrived at the first of many stops in the park we are again overwhelmed at the magnificent work of God's hand. It is hard to describe this gigantic hole in the ground without witnessing it for yourself. I only hope the pictures will give you some idea of the majesty. We traveled trough the park and headed for the Hoover dam before landing in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you want to be amazed at the work of man's hand just head to the Hoover dam. It is hard to believe how it was constructed, and now the unbelievable bridge the are building across the canyon. I is only just starting to take form and has been in the work's for about 5 years. It will be worth a look when it is finished in about another 10, 15, 20 years or so! Well we finally made it to our destination of the "city of lights". Stephen can hardly believe the sights. The city has changed just a little since I was last here in 1998. We get checked in to the Luxor on the strip and head out for a very long night, boy is my butt tired!!!!!
